Today's American culture is idolizing talent... American Idol, Living to Dance, America's Got Talent and Sport heroes are treated literally as idols. But did you know that the Lord has given us all "talents" that we will one day give an account for in heaven? Instead of being servants in the local church we would rather be stars. For the born again Christian this ought not to be.

 

The sacrifices we make in using our talents for God's kingdom will pay much larger dividends than the momentary fleeting fame received when giving our talents to the world.

 

Get plugged into your local home church and begin putting your hand to the plow. There are plenty of opportunities to begin serving in the local church. They who serve well in the local church purchase to themselves great joy and boldness in the faith!

 

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - Psalms 84:10
